“Kindness is the essence of greatness”


What i think this quote is trying to say is that if you are king you will be a great person. The more you are kind the more you will be a great person. For  example if you have a chance to be kind you should take it because if you don’t somehow it will come back and get you. If you are not nice to people you will have a miserable life .

Thanksgiving Week

This Thanksgiving was a very exciting  one. This year was the first time we made all the food at home and did not celebrate at a other family members house. During this week i didn't do very much, all i did was finish my homework that i got during break. I really didn't go any where this Thanksgiving week. I just stayed home and relaxed with my family. Something i did was watch  a lot of Football during my break. My favorite team is the Green bay Packers, so it was pretty cool watching them play and not having to worry about school the next day. One CTR experience that i had was when i seen a man drop money on the floor a in grabbed it returned it to him, although other would have put the money in their pocket. One book that i read was the series of unfortunate events. When i seen that they were going to make a Netflix series on the book and that made me read all the books again. I really didn't have a lot of homework to do but i had a health project that i had to do that really took a lot of time. But besides that i had a wonderful Thanksgiving and i was glad that i spent it with my family.

"Manners maketh man."

I can strongly agree with this quote because it is true. If you have manners you become a man or makes a man. If there is a chance for you to show someone you have manners it shows them that you are a man. Having manners is good way to show that you are mature and well mannered. A persons actions can tell a lot about them. Having manners shows a good impression on yourself to others. If you have manners against someone they will probably do the same for you in the future. For example when you are eating at the dinner table, you should have manners by not playing with your food and eating correctly.

"If it is not right, do not do it; if it is not true, do not say it."

I can strongly agree with this quote because when you know something is wrong, the right thing is to not do it. If something is not true, the right thing to do is to not say that.  One example of this is when there is a rumor that is not true, everyone that knows it will spread it around even if they know its not true. even though it is a lie people will not believe you because they think its funny.  Another example is say you go to best buy and ask for a type of TV that is not that great but the sales man was to distracted so he gave you the best tv out at the moment. What do you do? Well the right thing to do is to return it and get the TV you paid for.

Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving day is a public holiday that is celebrated on the fourth Thursday of November. Thanksgiving has been celebrated nationally on and off since 1789, after a proclamation by George Washington. The event that Americans commonly call the "First Thanksgiving" was celebrated by the Pilgrims after their first harvest in the New World in 1621. This feast lasted three days, and—as accounted by attendee Edward Winslow. It was attended by 90 Native Americans and 53 Pilgrims. After that day Thanksgiving wouldn't become a a national holiday until 200 years later. In my opinion Thanksgiving is a holiday where you can spend time with your family and talk about what your thankful for. These are 12 things i am thankful for:

"Doing what is right, fair and honorable is more important than winning or losing.''

I strongly agree with this quote because it shows that most people are worried about winning or losing, but no one cares  if they choose the right or not. To people that care about winning they don't care about choosing the right.

“Hold yourself for a higher standard than anybody else expects of you. Never excuse yourself.”



What I think henry is trying to say is that you need to not limit yourself to various things.Do things that you know other people will not expect you doing. Do things that will surprise people. I can agree with this quote because when i joined football everyone was shocked. They did not see me as a type of person who plays that kind of sport. Never think you can’t do something just because it’s hard, try it out, you’re probably great at it. You are never going to know unless you try. Try things that you know others won’t do.

Veterans Day

Veterans Day is a public holiday held on the anniversary of the end of World War I (November 11) to honor US veterans and victims of all wars. This year veterans day lands on Friday, November 11. The purpose of veterans day is to honor military veterans that fought in the war. It is important to continue honoring veterans because it is a way of acknowledging the sacrifices they have made while serving their country.

Some ways you can show respect on Veterans Day are:

1. Attend a Veterans Day event in your area
2. There are a plethora of wonderful organizations who offer all manner of support, services and appreciation for our service members.
3. Veterans Day is a great opportunity to fly the flag
4. Ask someone about their service

Reflection: I think that celebrating Veterans Day is a good way to show your support and to show your thankful for the men and women who served our country. Not celebrating will show that you are not a proud american. My family and I always celebrate by having a dinner with some veterans we know. 

These are the 3 magic keys to living your life with integrity:

1. Have the courage to say no.
2. Have the courage to face the truth
3. Do the right thing because it is right

What i think these keys mean is that if you want to become honest, you must be able to say no to any occasion, be able to face the truth, and choose the right because it is the right thing to do. If you want to live your life with integrity you must follow these rules.
