Emergency Medical Technician
Duties and Responsibilities: An emergency medical technician is a person who is specially trained and certified to administer basic emergency services to victims of trauma or acute illness before and during transportation to a hospital or other healthcare facility.
Salary: $29,697-$37,780
Education:Both a high school diploma or equivalent and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification typically are required for entry into post secondary educational programs in emergency medical technology. Most of these programs are non degree award programs that can be completed in less than 1 year; others last up to 2 years.
