Class Evaluation

One of the things that I enjoyed about this class is how Mr. Haymore always had a smile on his face. Whenever i'm sad, as soon as i enter his room I automatically become happy. Another thing I liked was how Mr. Haymore helped us interact with one another. Because of what he did I gained a lot of new friends. The final thing that I enjoyed about this class is how Mr. Haymore pushed us and lead us to choose the right. He taught me that it doesn't matter what situation you are in, if there is a chance, you should always choose the right. Some things that I didn't like about this class is how people would ignore Mr. Haymore and just play games on the computer instead of learning. I am not going to lie once in a while i would do this. But there were kids who would just play all day. Another thing I did not enjoy was doing Life Planning Goals. To be honest I thought it was a waste of time. One thing that can improve this class is teaching students how computers work and how they function. I think that will be very interesting for the upcoming freshman. One highlight was when we had to present our CTR project. I really enjoyed working on it and presenting it. I am very committed being a CTR person. Mr . Haymore taught me that choosing the right can take you to special places. Because of this I thank him.

The topic I chose to talk about is YouTube. The reason I chose to talk about this is because YouTube has been a huge part of my life. Every day I spend about 8 hours of my day watching YouTube videos. It is my daily thing. After watching my favorite Youtubers for years, I have been motivated to start my own channel. Though I don't have the courage to sit in front of a camera and talk. One day I will face my fears. As a child I have always wanted to be a filmmaker. I remember making short films with my best friend at the time. We had a blast making them and enjoyed watching our families watch them. At that time we didn't care what people thought of us we just wanted to entertain people. Coming to the present, all of that changed.... I was embarrassed on what my friends and family thought. My life changed. I want to go back and be the same kid I once was. I want to make people happy and entertain them. I want to not care what people think of me. After watching Some of my favorite Youtubers like Casey Neistat and Jesse Wellens, have inspired me. The way they take filmmaking to a whole new level is astonishing. I hope to be like them one day. There is something I always tell myself when i think i can't do it...... That is, If they can do I can do it.

Yoga Therapist

Duties and Responsibilities:Yoga therapists work with clients empowering them to improve health and wellness by using yoga practices and teachings. Yoga is a scientific system that incorporates self-transformation, realization and investigation first originating in India.

Salary:Yoga therapists make a median wage of $40,970, while those in the top 10 percent of the salary range earn $70,180

Education:Yoga therapists are well-trained in many areas of health therapy, healing and overall wellness. Schools of yoga train from many different perspectives. Some may include separate study of Ayurveda, although this provides additional knowledge and isn't required to become a yoga therapist.

Demand for this profession:The job outlook for yoga therapists is good, with salary growth expected to grow by 24 percent through 2020 which is faster than average.

"A man without a goal is like a ship without a rudder."

What i believe Thomas Carlyle is trying to say is if you don't have a goal in mind you won't be able to move forward. Just like a boat needs a rudder to move.  I really like this quote because it compares to things to explain the meaning of something.

Memorial Day Weekend

My Memorial Day weekend wasn't really great. All i did was stay at home and hang out with my family. I didn't really go anywhere special. Something i did do was watch soccer. There was a game against rival teams. The game had me out of my seat. It was very exciting. My family and i watched a couple movies on Netflix. Although I didn't do much for my memorial day weekend, i still had a good time chilling with my family.

"When a deep injury is done us, we never recover until we forgive."

The definition of forgive to me and to may others is to stop feeling angry or resentful toward someone for an offense, flaw or mistake. What Alan Paton is trying to say is if you are injured from the inside the only way to heal or to recover is to forgive. In my opinion this is the only way to heal or recover if you are hurt or injured inside emotionally and physically.

" Dare to do right."

I agree with Rex D Pinegar that you should dare to do the right and choose the right. If you don't dare to do right you will just do wrong and choose the wrong. Doing what is right shows that you are a good person. Doing what is wrong shows that you are a horrible person. it is better to do the right than the wrong because you don't know what can come from doing either or. Doing one can lead to good and the other can lead to bad things. But you never know what you can get from doing something. So that is why it is best to do what is right because you can get something good from it.

"Dare to stand alone."

I agree with Thomas S. Monson because he is very true. Some people like to work with others but you need to dare to stand alone. This is best at times. This can lead you to success.  Working alone or doing things yourself is better because it separates you from other people. It shows that you are good working with others but great by yourself. This is a good way to show that you are a hard worker both in a pair or single.

I agree with Dan Dierdorf because what he is saying is very true. This does not just go for him but for every bodies life. This is a good way to live your life. What he is saying is that if you have a goal, no matter what, you should always follow it. if you keep on chasing your goals it will soon come together and you will reach your goal. Everything will come in line as you always wanted to. The reason this is happening is because you keep on chasing your dreams.

FBI Agent

Duties and responsibilities: FBI agents are in charge of investigating over 200 different categories of violations related to national security and federal law. The criminal activity a FBI agent may investigate includes bank robberies, terrorism, corruption, cybercrime, organized crime, espionage and drug trafficking.

Salary: $94,097

Education:If you want to become an FBI agent you should be a U.S citizen and at least 23 years of age. Educational requirements include having a four year bachelor degree from an accredited university or college. In addition to this applicants should have three years of work experience at the minimum.

Demand for this profession:4% for all police and detectives

These tips are very useful not just for me but for everyone. These tips should be things you should strive for. All of these tips are very true not just in school but in life. Following these tips will lead you to great success. To work hard is to do whatever you can to reach your goal. Following your passions is doing what you love.

 I agree with Dennis Prager because what he is saying is very true. There is nothing else more important than this.

I agree with Theodore Roosevelt because what he is saying is very true and wise. When there is a chance for you to make a decision the best and the right thing to do is to choose the right.  That is basically what he is saying. What i learned from this quote is that Teddy was a very wise and smart man. One example from this quote is say you find a wallet with tons of money. You have the decision to either give it back or keep it to yourself. During the making of your decision you should think about doing the right. If you decide to keep the money, the guilt will stay inside you forever. You will not be able to go further with your life if you do not give the wallet back to it's owner.

"Nothing is ever gained in doing what's wrong."

I agree with Wilford Woodruff because what he is saying is very true. When you do something that is wrong nothing is ever gained from doing it. even if you do something good don't expect anything back, that is what my mom always says. If you are lucky you can get something from it, but don't expect it. if you expect it you are a ctw person. By reading this quote i can tell that Wilford was a ctr man.

"It's A GREAT MOMENT when someone has character to step up and do the right thing at the right time."

I agree with Pam Knox because it is always a good moment when someone steps up and does the right thing. This will always be a great moment when things like this happen. When someone chooses the right, it is always a great moment when your there to experience it.

I have been asked what I mean by word of honor I will tell you place me behind prison walls walls of stone ever so high ever so thick reaching ever so high ever so thick reaching ever so far into the ground there is a possibility that in some way or another I might be able to escape but stand me on the floor and.... Draw a sea bear circle and have me give me my word of honor never to cross it. Can I get out of that circle? No, Never! I'd die first."

I agree with Karl G. Maeser because what he is saying is very true. What he said is very wise. This quote shows that Karl was a man who stood by his word. That word was the word of honor. 

The 10 Indian Commandments

1. Treat the Earth and all that dwell therein with respect.

3. Show great respect for your fellow beings.
4. Work together for the benefit of humankind.
5. Give assistance and kindness wherever needed.
6. Do what you know to be right.
7. Look after the well-being of mind and body.
8. Dedicate a share of your efforts to the greater good.
9. Be truthful and honest at all times.
10. Take full responsibility for your actions.

These 10 commandments meant a lot to Native Americans back then and now. It is fascinating how Native Americans have lived my these ten commandments like we have, to our commandments. Although theirs might be more things of doing while ours is the law. These commandments are their law. Like our commandments it is our law.  One example of the commandments is ,Do what you know is right. This means that if you know it is wrong don’t do it. If it is right and you know it, do it.

"A promise must never be broken."

I agree with Alexander Hamilton because what he is saying is very true. The only thing that can not be broken is a promise. A promise is worth a lot and should not be broken. Breaking a promise will look bad on your behalf because it shows that you are a person that you can not trust.

I agree with Henry David Thoreau because what he is saying is very true. . There is one investment that we should all do and it is guaranteed that it won’t fail; goodness. When we invest in goodness we make the decision of always doing good no matter what. If you decide to invest in this it will succeed unlike other investments. For example, people find ways to invest their money, but sometimes they trust the wrong person and their investment fails. When you invest in goodness that is the only investment you do where you are investing in yourself, so there is little to no chances of this investment failing.

 This quote means that the only reason people make decisions is because they are right, it's not because they are popular or cheap. Their decisions are because it's right and that's the good thing to do. Making decisions that are easy may be good at the time but later on it will not. It is way better to choose the decision that is hard because it is more challenging and educational and so you wont have to deal with the consequences you have when you make the decision that is easy. For example when you think about cheating on a test because it will be easy. You  should never do that because it is considered wrong. Then you think about it and you will not do it . If you were to do this, some how it will come back.

I agree with Joseph Smith that it is our duty to to concentrate all of our influence to make popular that which sound and good. This is a good quote because it shows that we are the ones to help and to concentrate to make the world better.If it is good you should be able to promote it and if something is bad you shouldn't. It is best to choose the right than to choose the wrong.

School Break Days

I didn't really do anything for my break besides watch movies and hang out with my family. We watched really old movies that my parents had watched when they were younger. After that we went to the beach. I had not been to the beach in a very long time, so it was a both exciting and memorable experience. Another thing me and my family did was visit family members we had not seen in a very long time. We talked about old memories and caught up in each others lives. For Easter my family and I didn't really do much. We just stayed home and watched movies all night.

I agree with Abraham Lincoln because what he said was very inspirational and wise. What he said in my words is be true to yourself and others.

Optometrist

Education:Optometrists must complete a Doctor of Optometry (O.D.) degree program and obtain a license to practice in a particular state. O.D. programs take 4 years to complete, and most students have a bachelor’s degree before entering such a program.

I agree with Ralph Waldo Emerson because what he is saying is very true. What your character is, it is always higher than intellect. IT is never the other way.

I agree with  Tyler Haws because what he said is very true. Hard work pays off in the future. For example Tyler worked hard to be the best point guard because worked hard, it payed off. Now he is the best point guard in BYU. He became the player with the most points in BYU history. this shows that all of his work payed off.

I agree with Brigham Young because there is no other way true independence and freedom can exist without doing what's right. There is no other way of doing it. Doing whats right is the only way to get these things in life. Doing the right can give you so much more than true independence and freedom but those two are the best and can really benefit you.

I agree with George Chapman because he is very correct. The only way for a person to be truly great they must be truly good. There is no way that a person could be great without being good. 

Optician

Duties and Responsibilities:Opticians work on the front lines of vision care. They are one of the most important members of the eye care team because of the amount of direct interaction with customers.The optician job description will generally detail tasks that fall within two very specific categories. The first category addresses eyeglass and contact lens fitting while the second has to do with assisting clients with the frame selection process.

Education: In order to be a Optician you must have a High school diploma or equivalent

I agree with George Mitchell because he is correct. There is nothing more worse than being a cheater. You will be great not using steroids. It is better to not be good at something than making a fool of yourself by using steroids. Not using this substance will save you the embarrassment of people finding out that you use steroids and is stripped from your trophies.

"I Won't Cheat"

I agree with Dale Murphy because it is wrong to cheat. At first it may feel right to cheat but it never is. Once you cheat, you will feel guilt inside you you. you cheating shows that you are a CTW person. Him saying "I Won't Cheat" shows that he is a CTR person and he is giving everybody his word that he won't cheat. 

"Character Matters Most."

I agree with Dale Murphy because having character is the most important thing to have. Without it you won't be very successful. It is best to have character than without it. For example it is best to give money to the homeless. Doing that gives you character. Having character shows that you are a kind and humble person. Another example is when you cheat in a sport like baseball you have no character.

St. Patrick died on March 17, 461. Celebrations generally involve public parades and festivals, céilithe (Irish traditional music sessions), and the wearing of green attire or shamrocks.There are also formal gatherings such as banquets and dances, although these were more common in the past.St Patrick's Day, while not a legal holiday in the United States, is nonetheless widely recognised and observed throughout the country as a celebration of Irish and Irish-American culture. Celebrations include prominent displays of the colour green, religious observances, numerous parades, and copious consumption of alcohol. I really enjoy this holiday because

I agree with Benjamin Franklin because what he is saying is very true. Nothing beats having a right heart. Having a big heart gives so many things that you don't even know. For example when you give money to a homeless person you feel good about yourself. Doing that will gain you new friends and they right to be wise.
